Sivananda yoga is a classical style (Hatha-based yoga) offering a well-balanced composition of exertion and relaxation, incorporating meditation, pranayama practices, and Sun Salutations. This is followed by a sequence of asanas that target the body’s energy centers from top to bottom, leaving the practitioner with a peaceful, coherent, and connected sense of self as the class concludes with a deep relaxation exercise.
Sivananda Yoga follows the same core sequence in each class, which helps you build confidence, improve steadily, and drop more easily into a relaxed, meditative state. Because the sequence stays consistent, your body and mind can relax into the practice, allowing you to go deeper, track your progress, and feel stronger with each class.
Some yoga experience is recommended but not required.
