Caleb Neeper

Caleb's first taste of yoga came a little over a decade ago. Playing in a pick-up basketball game, he severely sprained his left knee. The initial goal was to rehabilitate the knee through yoga. Slowly, over a consistent period of time, his body began to heal. The knee strengthened, and he also began to experience some additional, unintended positive side-effects from practicing yoga - weight loss, a gain in overall physical strength, increased range of motion, flexibility, and a general boost in self-confidence and mood.
His initial therapeutic goal became secondary, as he started to realize the deep and profound affects that practicing yoga was and is currently having on his life. He began to understand more about himself, his relationships to others and his place in the world. With this new-found clarity, he decided to switch careers from selling wine to teaching yoga! He relocated from Sonoma County back to the Bay Area in pursuit of this career change. Caleb has completed 500 hours of teacher training through YogaWorks in Walnut Creek and SF, and has been mentored by Lakshmi Norwood.

Mindful Therapeutic Yoga
This mindful therapeutic yoga class gently blends yoga poses and other therapeutic mobility exercises, emphasising breath and awareness to support healing, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance within the body and mind connection.
This class is suitable for all bodies, people with injuries, and those with other limitations. Perfect for someone looking to slow down and move through a thoughtful, well-balanced healing yoga practice.
The purpose here is to explore what it means to heal with great support for the body, move forward through life's ups and downs with self-awareness, and to embrace the approach with more grace and compassion.
All levels are welcome.
-
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a foundational, slower-paced yoga modality focusing on holding physical postures (asanas) while also utilizing dynamic movements and mobility in combination with various breathing techniques (pranayama) to align body, mind, and spirit.
In Sanskrit, 'ha' means sun and 'tha' means moon. Together, Hatha symbolizes the union of opposites, balancing and harmonizing the active solar yang energy (Pingala) with the receptive yin lunar energy (Ida).
This class is ideal for those seeking a moderately physically challenging class, focusing on balance, strength, mobility, vitality, and mindfulness; perfectly suited to support a person on their path in these changing times. Although this is not a "beginner" class, this class is appropriate for beginners to advanced practitioners.
All levels & abilities are welcome.

Exploring Meditation
In this class, we will explore the myriad of ways to meditate. There are tried-and-true methods to help prepare and support your body, mind, and spirit for the successful journey of meditation and getting to know oneself better.
Expect very gentle and introspective yoga postures (asana), a light connection to the breath and various breath techniques (pranayama), the use of hand gestures (mudras) and the development of intentions (sankalpa). These practices prepare the body & mind to drop into peaceful meditation.
Beginners and advanced practitioners alike are welcome; no prior experience necessary.
